Position title
Senior Quantity Surveyor
Description
Our client is seeking a highly organized and proactive Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team, working on a prestigious HS2 contract. This fixed-term / Permanent position is expected to last 3 years.
Requirements
- Proven experience in NEC contracts, specifically NEC3 Option B.
- Familiarity with CEMAR is advantageous (training can be provided).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong ability to manage change and drive agreement of outstanding CEs.
- Effective communication skills for client-facing resolutions.
- Experience in cradle-to-grave management of Compensation Events.
- Competence in placement and commercial management of sub-contractors.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of Compensation Events (CEs) from initiation to resolution.
- Interface with clients to resolve account issues.
- Ensure timely and accurate raising of Early Warning Notices (EWNs) and CEs in accordance with contract requirements.
- Collaborate with the site operations team to price and submit CE quotations within specified contract timelines.
- Expedite the closing out of existing CEs to secure optimal recovery.
- Oversee the placement of sub-contract orders and manage commercial relationships with sub-contractors, including assessment and processing of applications and payments.
- Produce monthly Applications for Payment.
- Provide monthly financial reporting and forecasting of contract values and costs.
